Evolving artistic styles, evolving culture.

Jacob Eguia

There are levels to hyper-realism and Jacob may have climbed to the last level. Mastering charcoal mix and shadows Jacob can trick your mind and make you think he’s actually a photographer.

“As an artist in prison my creative purpose is to reflect a ‘ time ‘ well spent.
Some of my art is just me having fun at being creative and exploring multi medias and genres.
While other personal art pieces is me being straightforward or subtle at what is to lose, to gain, to be inspired, to desire, to cope, to believe in something greater, and to confront my prison time purposefully, and with hope. And sometimes it’s just a portrait I’m commissioned to do which brings a smile to  someone’s face…If I can do that for the rest of my ‘ time ‘ as an artist ….it’s a time well spent” – Jacob Eguia
